Upon request, your Certified Moving Consultant will visit your home with a view to determining your moving needs and to provide you with an accurate estimation of the cost of the services you will require. If yours is a local move, the method of calculating the estimated cost will be clearly explained to you. Although a firm price quotation is not applicable to local moves, your Consultant can give you a pretty good idea of how much your local move will cost.

If you are moving out of town (across Canada, to the U.S.A., or overseas), your Consultant will conduct a more thorough survey of the items that you wish to be moved. Long-distance moving is based on a weight/volume factor and your Consultant can determine the estimated weight of your household goods and personal effects, provided that all items are accurately presented at the time of the survey.

All moving estimates will be presented in written form detailing a breakdown of the costs involved (transport, packing, unpacking, crating, storage, etc.). By using the services of a Certified Moving Consultant, you are guaranteed an honest estimate with no hidden costs.

Planning & Consultation

Your Certified Moving Consultant is knowledgeable about all types of moves (Local, Long Distance, U.S. Shipments, Overseas Relocation, Office Moving, Storage, Special Products/Commodities, Distribution etc.). So whether or not you have a confirmed moving date (or your home is not yet sold), your Consultant will meet with you and discuss the services you will require. If storage or delayed delivery is a factor, your Consultant can offer various options. There is no move too complicated for your Consultant to assist you in planning.
